"Procrastination Is Like A Credit Card..."

Oct 1, 2011

"It's a lot of fun until you get the bill."  This quote by Christopher Parker does a nice job of summing up a problem that almost everyone struggles with (some, like me, more than others).  So what is this problem?

In short, the word "procrastinate" means putting off things until later.  Why do I bring this up?  Simply put, we're all running out of time.  The term ends in two weeks, and many of us still have things to make up, especially when it comes to our Scrapbook projects.  They will be due at the end of class on Thursday 10/13, the day before the final.  All other makeup work will be due the day before (Wednesday 10/12).  Because of Columbus Day, that means you have 9 School Days until your Scrapbook is due and 8 days for everything else.

But here's the good thing:  you can get the ball rolling right now, and avoid all the problems and undue stress that come along with putting things off until the very last minute.  Links to watch both The Story of Us and Engineering an Empire episodes on YouTube have been placed over on the right side of this page (scroll down if you don't see them) so that anyone who has missed can get caught up.  You can also find a link to our vocabulary packets there as well.  Remember, if you need help, or don't understand something,  ASK QUESTIONS, AND DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!!!

If you're still feeling unmotivated, here's a great find by Mr. Anselment:  A short article on how to fight the "four pillars of procrastination".

Remember, it's YOUR grade!

Procrastination What i do best. The best procrastination story of mine was last year right before finals. I had a week to study and i put it off till the time of the test. Needless to say i got a 70.00 as my finale grade. Procratination is and always be my flaw.
