i think that the ban on guns shouldnt go through. just like the guy giving the speech said "the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun". i totally get that because if someone was trying to hurt a member of my family or me with a gun or lehtal weapon and i or a member of my family were to have a gun in reach i would hope that they would use it to save them or myself. thats just the way i see it and thats the section i paid the most attention to during class today. -Joe B.

well the section i picked up on the most was the one that had to do with putting the band on ar rifles and high cap magazines. the question you really have to ask is what do you consider an assault weapon. many people have different views about that subject and its hard to determine who is right or wrong in their opinions. do you consider a semi auto shotgun to be an assault weapon, they are used in the military yet they are also used by bird hunters. also there are states that have big game animal that if they were to charge or attack u dont have time to aim and shoot in the correct spot to bring that animal down, so you may have to fire multiple rounds to protect your self. when it comes down to self defense, just like the man said from the nra in his speech, "the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun." i just think that a gun is nothing but another tool such as a hammer. the gun was invented to bring down big game animals in the early 1700's. it was never ment for war or self defense. it just came to be that it evolved into a self defense tool.
