    • Alexander Graham Bell - inventor who is credited with the first practical telephone
    • Thomas Alva Edison - Great inventor responsible for things like the phonograph, motion pictures, and, most importantly the light bulb.
    • Andrew Carnegie - Rags to riches story.  Gambled on the Bessemer Process, and won big.  Became the biggest steel tycoon in and one of the richest men in America.
    • John D. Rockefeller - Ruthless businessman who founded Standard Oil.  Did whatever he could to run others out of business and increase his profits
    • Theodore Roosevelt - Progressive President.  Fought for workers and consumers.  Tried to break up the power of the big industries.  Known as the father of national parks, and campaigned on the idea of everyone getting a "Square Deal"
    • James Naismith - Inventor of the game of basketball.
  • Finish Vocabulary
